Summary: 

In order to become a certified teacher in Louisiana, an applicant must hold a bachelor's degree, have completed an approved teacher preparation program, passed a content-specific examination, and meet all the content-specific requirements outlined in the policy.

Body: 

When a candidate has successfully completed a state-approved program and met state testing and grade point average certification requirements, the program provider recommends the candidate for certification. All other content-specific requirements are outlined in the policy.
