Delaware adopted the Smarter Balanced assessment in 2010.

Body: 

While Students in Delaware schools are assessed regularly through in-class tests and quizzes, the Delaware Department of Education requires districts and charters to administer an end-of-year summative assessment for English and Language Arts called the Smarter ELA test. This test judges student progress toward mastering the state's educational standards.
