Summary: 

Mississippi requires between 6.5 and 8 additional credits for graduation depending on diploma path.

Body: 

There are multiple graduation pathways with different requirements.

The Career Pathways option is available for all students and requires:
-0.5 credits of Comprehensive Health OR Physical Education
-1 credit of integrated technology (Technology Foundations, ICT, 9th STEM, or Computer Applications and Keyboarding);
-4 credits of Career and Technical Education; and
-2.5 credits of electives.

The traditional pathways option are state board required and require:
-0.5 credits of Comprehensive Health
-1 credit of art
-1 credit of Business and Technology (Technology Foundations, ICT, 9th STEM, or Computer Applications and Keyboarding); and
-5 credits of electives.

The District option is a local decision and requires:
-0.5 credits of Comprehensive Health;
-1 credit of art;
-1 credit of Business and Technology (Technology Foundations, ICT, 9th STEM, or Computer Applications and Keyboarding); and
-4.5 credits of electives.
