This manual for school health programs, developed by the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE), the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services (DHSS), and the Missouri Association of School Nurses (MASN), addresses school-site health promotion for staff, including assessment, education, and fitness activities for school faculty and staff to maintain and improve their health and well-being.

This model local wellness policy from the Missouri School Board Association addresses physical activity, including providing opportunities and encouragement for staff to be physically active by planning and implementing activities to promote regular physical activity among staff and by working with recreation agencies and other community organizations to coordinate physical activity opportunities available to staff during their out-of-school time.
