This manual for school health programs, developed by the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE), the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services (DHSS), and the Missouri Association of School Nurses (MASN), recommends that all students who enter school without an initial growth (BMI) assessment on their physical examination record should be assessed.
