Corrective Action Plan for Non-Compliance

State law addresses corrective action plan for non-compliance.

Iowa Code 256.9 Duties of director.

  1. Monitor school districts and accredited nonpublic schools for compliance with the nutritional content Standard for foods and beverages adopted by the state board in accordance with section 256.7, subsection 29. School districts and accredited nonpublic schools shall annually make the Standard available to students, parents, and the local community. A school district or accredited nonpublic school found to be in noncompliance with the nutritional content Standard by the director shall submit a corrective action plan to the director for approval which sets forth the steps to be taken to ensure full compliance.
