(1) There is created within the Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services the Healthy Schools for Healthy Lives Council, which shall consist of 11 members appointed by the Commissioner of Agriculture. The council shall advise the department on matters relating to nutritional Standard and the prevention of childhood obesity, nutrition education, anaphylaxis, and other needs to further the development of the various school nutrition programs.
