This guide provides information and implementation guidance for establishing a healthy school team to address the Coordinated School Health approach. The guide describes how staff wellness programs can be used to address physical activity, smoking cessation, and stress management to promote healthy habits for staff.

The model policy is designed to comply with USDA and Florida Administrative Code requirements regarding local school wellness policies and provides guidance and recommendations for school districts developing and implementing local school wellness policies. The model policy includes the establishment of a staff wellness subcommittee to the LEA wellness committee that focuses on staff wellness.
