This document describes the benefits of breakfast for students and strategies to improve breakfast participation in schools, including breakfast in the classroom, grab and go breakfast, breakfast after first period, and breakfast vending. The document also provides considerations in developing and implementing a school breakfast program and offers links to further resources.

(4) Outreach Activities. The state DESE shall collaborate with other agencies responsible for administering emergency and supplemental food programs in designing and implementing food program outreach activities. DESE outreach activities shall be focused on information concerning the School Breakfast Program and may include written materials, brochures, newsletters, news releases, public service announcements and videos.
