The local wellness policy template, intended to support LEAs in developing or updating the local wellness policies, states that the LEA will establish a Local Wellness Committee with members from the school staff, students and families, and the community. The Local Wellness Committee will support the implementation of school health and safety policies and the local wellness policy.
