Model policy addresses the amount of time that is provided for physical education in elementary school every week, in accordance with National PE recommendations (150 min/week).

(b) Each school containing any grade K-5 shall provide a minimum of 90 contact hours of instruction at each grade level K-5 in health and physical education.
