6.8.1 Buildings E. 2. Radon testing shall be completed by each school and conducted pursuant to the procedures described in the American Association of Radon Scientists and Technologists (AARST) Protocol for Conducting Measurements of Radon and Radon Decay Products In Schools and Large Buildings, 2015, hereby incorporated by reference. The results of these tests shall be on file at each school and available for review. Schools constructed after the effective date of these rules and regulations shall complete radon tests within 19 months of the date of occupancy. Schools remodeled after the effective date of these rules and regulations shall notify the Department of such remodeling in order that the Department may assess the need for any additional radon testing.
