G. For students suspected or identified as having special health needs, referrals by a certified school nurse-teacher must be made as specified in this Part or in the Rhode Island Board of Education "Regulations Governing the Education of Children with Disabilities ".

A. A student failing the screening must be given a retest on a different day (but within one month) before the parents are notified of the results of the test.
- Students who fail the screening criteria set must be re-screened by the certified school nurse-teacher.
- Parents of students who fail to meet the minimal visual requirements on the second screening must be notified in accordance with the requirements of § 4.19 of this Part in order to arrange for a comprehensive vision examination by an eye care provider.
