Chronic Absenteeism Early Warning Systems

State law encourages or requires districts to address truancy or chronic absenteeism through use of early warning, parent conferencing and parental sanctions.

Alaska Statutes 14.30.030 Prevention and reduction of truancy.

The governing body of a school district, including a regional educational attendance area, shall establish procedures to prevent and reduce truancy.
