Michigan Compiled Laws 333.9101 Plan for health services for pupils in elementary and secondary schools; establishment; contents; cooperation in developing plan; consistency with program of school nursing services; employment of certified school nurses;
(1) The department shall establish a plan for health services for pupils in the elementary and secondary schools of this state. The plan shall include a definition of school health services and Standard for the implementation of the plan. The department shall cooperate with the department of education and the state health planning and development agency in developing the plan to ensure coordination among those agencies. (2) The plan may include the provision of health services by and through intermediate and local school districts.
